Problems associated with social welfare are solved by the Department of Social Assistance. Under its authority are:
- Centre of Rehabilitation
- Orphanage
- Crisis Home
- Centre of First Medical Aid and Social Rehabilitation
- Night shelter for the homeless
- Day care Centre "LAD" for disabled children
- Telephon reassurance service
The Department actively co-operates with 12 social organisations involved in provision of assistance to children and adults, including the Drug Addict Rehabilitation Centre.
