Infrastructure

Communication: There is automatic international phone dialing, fax and E-mail communication. In common use are the NMT and GSM telephone networks with international roaming. Internet is in everyday use.

Power generation: Narva has two of Estonia's major power stations, which can provide unlimited energy supply. The power network makes it possible to launch any investment projects working on a 35 kV supply. Voltage is 110-220 v.

Gas network: The town has an extended distribution network of natural gas, used both by enterprise and private householders.

Roads and transportation: Narva has always been an important transit and border station on the way from Russia to Estonia and Scandinavia. Major Estonian truck motor and rail lines are running throughout Narva. Closest international airports are in Tallinn (Estonia) and St. Petersburg (Russia) with direct or hub flights to major EU and US destinations. The internal and intercity bus transportation infrastructure is well developed. The road network is being constantly improved.

Warehouses: Bonded warehouses for both indoor and outdoor storage of goods are available. A customs terminal for trucks complying with European norms and standards has recently been put into operation.
